Uniformed Police and Fire officers hired on or after July 1, 2009 can retire with full pension benefits, including full escalation, after 25 years of service. Previously hired uniformed Police and Fire officers can retire with full benefits after 20 years of service. Teachers can begin receiving benefits at age 55. The amount of benefits depend on the years of service.
