NYCEDC is the City’s primary economic development entity, charged with driving growth and creating jobs. NYCEDC accomplishes this by developing real estate using public-private partnerships, managing City properties and assets including manufacturing and distribution hubs, providing financial tools that allow businesses and not-for-profits to generate new jobs and revenue, and launching initiatives to spur economic growth throughout the City's various sectors.

In an effort to enhance transparency and accountability of NYCEDC spending, the New York City Comptroller’s Office is presenting vendor data on NYCEDC contracts through its online portal, Checkbook NYC. NYCEDC’s dashboard will now provide all prime contract registrations beginning from July 1, 2012 to the present. Any contract that had a first time registration prior to Fiscal Year 2013 will not display prime vendor information at this time.
